Cookie Policy
This page explains exactly which cookies Rune Helmets Official uses, what each one is for, and how to change your mind at any time.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site recognise your browser on the next page or the next visit — which is how a shopping cart survives from one page to the next.
Cookies we always use
These make the shop work. Without them you could not sign in or keep anything in your cart, so they cannot be switched off.
- woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_* — remember what is in your cart while you shop.
- wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* — keep you signed in to your account.
- rune_consent — remembers the choice you made about this page, so we do not ask you again on every visit.
Cookies we use only with your permission
These are switched off until you turn them on. Nothing is set before you choose.
- Where you came from (sbjs_session, sbjs_udata, sbjs_first, sbjs_current, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_migrations) — part of WooCommerce, the software our shop runs on. They record which link, search or post brought you here, so we know which of our efforts are worth continuing. They stay on your device for up to six months. This information is never sold and never shared.
- Live chat (twk_uuid_*) — set by Tawk.to, the company that runs our live chat window. It lets the chat recognise you, so you do not have to repeat your question on a later visit. Live chat still works if you say no — it simply will not remember you.
- Advertising and measurement (_ga, _gid, _gcl_au) — set by Google. They let us see how many people who saw one of our ads went on to order, and stop us paying to show the same ad to someone who already bought. If you say no, Google still counts the visit, but without any cookie and without anything that could identify you.
What we do not use
Rune runs no Facebook Pixel, no Pinterest Tag, and no data broker or profiling service. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
Payment and delivery
When you pay, you are handed over to PayPal or Xendit. Those companies set their own cookies on their own pages, under their own policies, and we have no control over them. The same is true of our courier’s tracking pages.
Changing your mind
Choose Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page. You can turn anything back off just as easily as you turned it on. Your choice is remembered for six months, and then we ask again.
Turning something off also removes the cookies it already placed. You can additionally clear cookies from your browser settings at any time.
